TSX-V- and JSE-listed Alphamin Resources has produced 4 027 t of tin for the quarter ended June 30 – a 28% increase from the March quarter.
Alphamin, which owns and operations the Mpama North and South mines, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, attributed the increase in output to the Mpama South expansion.
The new Mpama South processing facility has been producing tin concentrate to sales specification since May 14 and achieved commercial production on May 17.
Contained tin sales, however, decreased by 21% quarter-on-quarter to 3 245 t. Alphamin notes that the March quarter had delivered exceptionally high sales volumes.
