South Korea’s POSCO Future M Co. has been named Asia Future 30 by the US economic media Fortune on Mar. 27, according to the company on Thursday.
The company was recognized for its expansion in the battery materials business and its successful transformation into a future-oriented business structure.
The 2024 Fortune Asia Future 30 compilation recognizes the top 30 companies demonstrating innovation and vitality for long-term growth.
These companies, selected from over 700 firms in the Asia-Pacific region with revenues or market capitalization exceeding 10 billion dollars, represent the forefront of their industries.
The evaluation and selection were carried out by the Henderson Institute of Boston Consulting Group (BCG-Henderson Institute), a renowned global consulting firm.
Leveraging AI and machine learning, repeatedly trained on growth indicators and data, the institute systematically analyzed 19 evaluation factors across four categories: strategy, technology & investment, human resources, and financial structure.
Among the 30 companies chosen this year, notable names include Alibaba Health Information Technology, BYD, NIO, and EVE Energy in the environmental, AI, and electric vehicle sectors.
The South Korean companies listed on Asia Future 30 include POSCO Future M, Naver, Celltrion, and Kakao.
POSCO Future M stood out for its diversification into new ventures, including secondary batteries and advanced chemical materials, branching out from its traditional industrial base material business.
By adopting a future-oriented business structure, the company has laid a solid foundation for sustainable long-term growth.
